My Mom went away!

Mom went to visit Grandma for Christmas and left me home alone with the Beast!

I wanted her to feel guilty so I sent her this email...

It worked, she felt very guilty! She has been hugging me and kissing me and spoiling me rotten since she got home last night. She even let me have some of her cheese burger last night.

And she thinks she is the one in charge. heehee

Look, I'm a STAR!

Mom had this made for me, cool huh?!

Ok, the big news...... I went to the doctor last week for my regular blood work. The doctor called the next day and told my parents that my blood has never looked better.

He said whatever they are doing to keep doing it, I am a very healthy boy!

Mom told him that spoiling me rotten is obviously the best medicine! I sure do love her!!!!

I'm 15!

Ok, so I turned 15 a month ago but I am still 15!!!!

Mom bought me presents (of course)!

I got this adorable mouse. He smells so yummy, just like catnip. Yum!

And a cool butterfly that makes a crinkly sound when I play with it but she didn't take it's picture.

I had a wonderful time. We played and cuddled and played some more. Mom topped off my day with some special treats. They are crunchy on the outside and chewy beef or chicken on the inside. Theses things are awesome!!!! I could eat them everyday! But Mom says they are only for once in a while. I guess she knows best but I really don't agree.

The days have been unseasonly hot here lately. It went up into the mid 90's this week. For someone who has to always wear a fur coat, this can be a bit unbearable at times.

Don't get me wrong, Dad has air conditioning so I can stay cool, but sometimes that just isn't enough.

That is when I relax on my favorite spot....the fireplace hearth. Those bricks stay so nice and cool. I hop up onto the hearth, lay down and let out a sigh of relief. Mom and Dad always laugh at me but I don't care. This is a great spot! You should all try it out when you get too warm.

I always hang my paw over the edge. It makes me look more nonchalant, don't you think?

You were all thinking I forgot how to type, weren't you?!

Actually, I have been sick. I have been battling the early stages of kidney disease for over 2 years now. Mom has been worrying herself sick over me.

And then last Christmas, I had convulsions that really sent Mom over the edge. She rushed me to the doctor and they found out I now also have hypothyroidism.

Poor Mom, she has been fretting and spoiling me nonstop. It makes her feel good and me too if I must admit.

Happily, with medication (that I take without complaining) all my problems are under control and my doctor says I will be around for a long time.

So, now I am just enjoying being with Mom. We cuddle every day!

Last weekend I posed while she painted my portrait. She wanted to be able to have me out on her new patio with her but I am on indoor baby. So she has my portrait as a substitute.

Here I am hanging on the back of the shed so she can see me all the time.

The bad part is that I miss Mom so much when she is outside. I wait at the door for her to come back in. I don't want to miss a second with her.
